January

Honestly, I always find New Years Eve very underwhelming. The countdown to a new year ends and yet you still feel the same! However, I got to ring it in with my favourite guy and we went on a few snowy mountain adventures and started taking more photos together. So January was a cold and great start to what would be an incredible year!

February

In February we checked out a great exhibit at Esker Foundation, took better selfies and visited with our favourite kids! It was fun to be in the city together, and explore together.

March

March brought more travels for us. We were able to shoot a cookbook for Duer Denim in the Vancouver area with great friends. After a couple intense days of shooting we spent some time hanging out in Seattle with more good friends and a rainy stop in Bowen Island. The PNW always feels a bit like home because of all the great people!

April

April was truly an incredible month! I got engaged to the love of my life in front of a pretty special view to us. These hilarious photos are of us shortly before the moment happened and I think that’s pretty telling of our relationship so I love them. I also moved into a new apartment, which we painted together and now call home together. I definitely won’t forget what a life changing month April was for us.

May revolved around a quick trip to Vancouver to work on my custom wedding dress with Relic Atelier, aka my good friend Aileen! Of course when in Vancouver, it’s hard not to enjoy all the incredible food with a great tour guide like Josh! He always knows the good places to eat!

June was a great month! We finalized a bunch of wedding plans and spent a few days in New York! It was my first time in New York and I loved it. I loved how busy it was and seeing so many incredible sights! You can see more here!

July

July! July was the fullest month of blessings and changes and love. I got to marry my best friend in a small backyard ceremony with our closest friends and family. If you want, you can see more of that here. We honeymooned in Cabo for a week and we saw Manta Ray jumping out of the ocean and snorkelled with fish. And as you can tell by the photo below, we also had a variety of Shirley Temples at the resort, some of which caused faces like this. You can see the video in my instagram highlights! If you want to see more of Mexico you can see that here!

For our birthdays in August, we ventured down to Montana, which is becoming more of a tradition apparently! We spent time in Waterton, Glacier and did some glamping in Helena. It was so much fun to spend some time together and it was such an incredible glamping experience! You can read about this trip here and here!

September brought a fun trip to the zoo, some incredible Beakerhead exhibits around town, and a little bit of fall! We also had the opportunity to attend a Model Milk dinner where celebrity chef Matty Matheson cooked the best meal of my life and I managed to sneak some leftovers home!

October

October was a slower month as things settled into routine. Davey and I hung out at the corn maze and it was super fun! Way more fun for families with little kids though, but cool nonetheless. I also had the opportunity to shoot for a brand I’ve been eyeing up, Province of Canada! We were also lucky enough to see Lake Louise before it froze again.

November

November was a very quiet month. Davey was gone for the first couple weeks with One Child Matters so not much happened at home. We did however attend an art show at cSpace which was really beautiful. We went to Banff for the Santa Clause Parade and enjoyed a meal at one of our favourite restaurants. I also tried to wear red lipstick, which I kinda liked!

December is always one of my favourite months! Christmas is such an exciting season and I love everything that comes with it. This year it included a few festive photoshoots and even celebrating one of my best friends engagements!
