Mount Assiniboine

On a beautiful fall October day we were blessed with a surprise from our friend Tanner Wendell Stewart. He invited us to be passengers on a helicopter trip out to Mount Assiniboine!

Now normally, to get to these iconic peaks just inside of British Columbia you would have to hike about 53 km round trip! So to think we had left Calgary at 8 am and were back, sitting in Tim Horton’s having some breakfast by 11 am. Davey and I aren’t much for hiking so we were stoked to be able to see these peaks from an incredible vantage point!

I am and always will be astounded by the diversity Canada has to offer in it’s geography and this was no exception! I'm so glad that we were able to share this view with our friends Ben and Scott as well!

On the way back, our pilot decided to be a little playful and turn all sorts of wild ways. Thanks to Tanner for these fun snaps of our very excited and a little nervous faces.

Not a bad way to spend a Thursday morning! Have you been in a helicopter before?
