Stampede Style

I was super excited to get back from Nashville in time to hit Stampede! Stampede is probably my second favourite time of year in Calgary; it feels like Christmas in July! Everyone pulls out their cowboy boots and wrangler jeans, puts hay bails in front of their offices and country music is inescapable. I just love how everyone has such good spirit and there is so much going on! It was especially exciting this year because it was Canada’s 150th so they had all of these deals everyday which is great because it’s become so expensive to even get in, so Davey and I went the day it was free for anyone until 1 pm! We actually made it there in the knick of time. Here is a roundup of some things I wore for Stampede season!

I love these Levi’s cutoffs, they are my go to short all summer so they’re so easy to add to a stampede outfit. I paired the shorts with this black linen crop top from Aritzia because it’s so light. I broke out my cowboy boots of course, and accessorized with this cute belt from coutu kitsch, a local Calgary boutique brand and this bolo tie that I found in my house. I also never wear my hair straight so this was fun!

This outfit is fun because if you’re not really a stampede person or don’t feel like you have a ton of western wear in your closet it’s easy to put together! This flare sleeve top is from Zara, and I paired it with this black fold-over skort from Aritzia and black Steve Madden booties that I scored on sale!

For the final outfit of my stampede outfit I went a little more boho with this floral romper from Zara! It looks like a dress but it’s a romper, which I absolutely love! I completed the look with a simple side braid and beige booties from Aldo.
