12 Things x Mountains
It's been a crazy month friends! Between a weekend in New York, getting married, enjoying Mexico and being able to run to the mountains whenever we want has been so fun! So here's a little 12 things update on me.
1. This past week we went to meet some friends in the mountains, we were gone for less than 24 hours but were able to hit Two Jack Lake, Lake Minnewanka and Moraine Lake. It was so beautiful and quick and I love that we get to live so close!
2. I want to start posting some more videos, and already have been! We did a quick little video about our time in Mexico which you can catch on my Mexico blog post here.
3. We are trying to plan a glamping trip in August for our birthdays! It's a big one for Davey, he turns 30! We are stoked to be heading south, so stay tuned for some more adventures.
4. Our apartment is almost all set up! We finished painting the bathroom, now we just need to get some art up on the walls in the office and a chair! So close.
5. Putting a cordless drill on the registry was actually a genius idea because we had to get the mirror off the wall in order to paint properly and that thing saved hours of hand screwing. Thanks Kev and Bernie!
6. Speaking of marriage... even though we are already married, we are having a big reception party later this summer and we keep forgetting we still have quite a bit to do for that. But it will be banging!
7. Earlier this spring, my roommate Lauren came home with a banana leaf palm tree (which is now in my care until she finds a new home, don't worry Lauren!) but I began the hunt for my own banana leaf palm tree and it's been months and I could not get one! Finally, the other day in Ikea I found one! The last one! Meant to be.
8. Did anyone else binge Queer Eye? My favourite episode is Sean! He was just a sweetheart, and he got the best home reno so I'm a little jealous.
9. I learned that Davey loves sugar, more than I realized, and I find candy all over.
10. We live really lose to downtown and it has been so convenient because it seems the past week of our lives has become errands and more errands! I's endless.

12. Summer is going far too quickly and the fact that it's almost August is blowing my mind. I miss the days of university where summer lasted four months!
